Wild Style
In 1983, my beloved late son Michael brought the film Wild Style to my theater, the Coolidge, in Brookline MA.
“Wild Style is a cult classic—indisputably the most important hip hop movie, ever.”—David Mattin, BBC.
Some of the cast members/graffiti artists came to the theater to publicize the film.
They created a mural outside the theater which I was ordered to remove or face fines by the town fathers.
I spent an enjoyable week with Fab Five Freddie, Lady Pink, Tracy 168 and Lady Heart.
These are my photos from that time, some of which include Michael.
